The sick person touches the handles/doorknobs and germs spread, and so on and so forth. So be sure to take precautions for the remainder of the winter so you don't get a bug. Here are some good tips I hope you find handy: http://www.healthline.com/health/flu-proof-home

Here's an update for those of you who live or work in Springfield Township (Montgomery County)....right from the township:

Earned Income Tax Information

Berkheimer Tax Administrator appointed as new collector

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Springfield Township residents recently received an announcement from Berkheimer Tax Administrator introducing the firm as the township's new earned income tax collector.  The announcement also asks the taxpayer to verify certain information such as name, address, social security number, municipality, and school district in order to create the most accurate tax rolls possible, and to ensure that your payments are sent to the proper jurisdiction.

If the information presented on the Tax Verification Form is correct, you do not need to send the form back to the tax collector.  However, if you need to make any changes to the pre-printed information, please complete the form and return it to Berkheimer Tax Administrators in the self-addressed envelope.  You may also complete the form on-line at Berkheimer's website,
http://www.hab-inc.com/.

Residents may have also recently received a 2010 Earned Income Tax Return from Tri-State Financial Group.  This return must be completed and returned to Tri-State by April 15 so that they can reconcile your earned income tax payments that were made throughout 2010.

Please refer to the Township's
Earned Income Tax page for additional information.

by Diane Cardano-Casacio & Her Team

We've received a lot of questions lately about reverse mortgages. Although we are not loan experts, we did some research and the Department of Housing & Urban Development has some great information, including how reverse mortgages work, who qualifies for them, etc.

Don't forget- there are many deductions you can miss if you're not careful. Here's an article from Houselogic that may help you ensure you receive all credits that are due to you: http://www.houselogic.com/articles/10-common-errors-home-owners-make-when-filing-taxes/
