Many people think that the holidays are a time to relax and take the back seat when selling a home. Not us! We love the holiday season because we tend to have more qualified, serious buyers looking to purchase a home for the holidays- it's the ultimate present!

If you are showing your home this holiday season, make sure everything is meticulous. Make sure decorations are tasteful- a few candles in the windows and evergreen wreaths on the doors can give a refined holiday decor.

Take advantage of all the baking you need to do, and schedule it around showings so that the home smells of freshly baked sweets!

Be sure that any snow is removed from the walkways and driveways, as it will make it a lot easier for potential buyers to navigate your property.

One upcoming event is the blood drive that is going to be held on Monday, December 13th at the Township building.

With the onset of colder weather, it's more apparent where the drafts and air leaks are in your home or office. Now that the weather is turning quite cold and miserable (especially on this rainy day), there is a limitation to what we can do on the outside of your home to prepare it to go on the market. So, this time of year we start to focus on the inside of your home.

Now is a great time to have me out for a "Room-By-Room Review" so that I can walk through your house with you and start to make a list of staging and other items that need to be addressed before the home goes on the market. I can also help you decide if it is better to spend money on a large home improvement or not, based on market conditions.

Today I'm going out to a home of someone who attended a seminar this past year. She's not going to sell the home until Fall 2011, but she is smart enough to get started now and have me out for a 30 minute consultation- I love that I can help ease her stress by getting a head start!
