Construction to Begin July 17 on $9.5 Million Project to Repair and Resurface 37 Miles of State Highway in Montgomery County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that construction is scheduled to begin Sunday night, July 17 on a $9.5 million project resurface 37 miles of state highway in Montgomery County.  The project is scheduled to be completed in October 2012

Projects in the Township include:

•    Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between Philmont Avenue/Welsh Road and County Line Road in Lower Moreland Township and Bryn Athyn Borough;
•    Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) Jug Handles between Welsh Road and Moreland Road in Abington and Lower Moreland townships;

In addition, new ADA curbs ramps will be built along the following state roads:

•    Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and County Line Road in Lower Moreland and Upper Southampton townships, and Bryn Athyn Borough;
•    Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) Jug Handles between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and Moreland Road in Lower Moreland Township;
