On a daily basis, we are asked by our clients for referrals for all types of trades. While we have a list of preferred service providers currently, we are always looking for more quality contractors to add to our list.

The only people we use are those that have been referred to us by our clients, and you can see that list here:

Horsham Facility Removed From Postal-Closure List

by Diane Cardano-Casacio & Her Team

The U.S. Postal Service could close an estimated 10 mail processing facilities in Pennsylvania under a proposal that would slow mail travel and eliminate next-day deliveries.

While a processing center in Horsham was included on the initial proposed closure list, as reported by the Associated Press earlier today, U.S. Postal Service spokesperson, Cathy Yarosky, confirmed Monday that facility was removed from consideration.

Yarosky added no other centers in Bucks or Eastern Montgomery counties were added or removed from the list.

The facilities slated for closure are mostly in major population centers across the state, including Pittsburgh, Scranton, Reading, Erie and Altoona.

The cash-strapped USPS is trying to cut $3 billion in costs while it struggled to avert bankruptcy amid increased competition that has seriously dented the amount of mail it handles.

The proposal would also close processing and distribution operations in Lancaster, New Castle, Williamsport and Chester County.

Under the proposal, the targeted facilities could be closed as early as next March. Because it would take mail longer to reach processing facilities, the USPS would drop next-day delivery from its standards for first-class mail.

Springfield Township Recyclebank Program

by Diane Cardano-Casacio & Her Team

Recyclebank Rewards Program:

Springfield Township is proud to be a Recyclebank community. Recyclebank is a rewards and loyalty program that rewards people for taking everyday green actions, like recycling, with discounts and special offers from local and national businesses.  In order to participate in the Recyclebank program, all you have to do is
register your account and then place your yellow recycling container with the Recyclebank tag out each week for collection. Recyclebank will assign 2.5 points for each pound of recyclables diverted from the waste stream. Please note that individual household containers will not be weighed. Instead, Springfield Township will be utilizing a community-based weight system in which households will receive points based upon the total weight of materials collected each day. The weight will then be divided by the number of participating households to determine the number of points earned by each.

Recyclebank also offers many other ways to earn points in addition to recycling.  For example, there are many opportunities to "learn and earn" about green products and behavior to obtain more points.  Recyclebank also promotes seasonal programs allowing you to practice green behavior year round.  For more information about the Recyclebank program, please
