Upper Dublin Township is a booming little town of 25,878 residents. First settled in 1698, this historically rich landmark has developed around a commitment to sustainability, safety, and community. The town developed the Open Space and Environmental Resource Protection Plan, which requires that every resident has access to a park in a half mile radius. There are over 40 different public parks and outdoor areas perfect for a sunny day. Play Basketball at Aideen Lair Park, hike in Burn Brae Park, fish at Loch Alsh Reervoir, picnic at Luther Klosterman Park or tee off at one of three beautiful golf courses. In 2005, the Township opened MonDaug Bark Park, with wooded trails as well as a large fenced, off-leash dog park. These parks are hosts to a variety of events, including farmer’s markets, circuses, yearly flea market, and public gardens. For a list of all upcoming events, click here.

The business-side of Upper Dublin Township is centralized at Fort Washington Office Park, which is home to over a hundred different companies including Aetna, Eastern National, Genworth Financial, and satellite campuses for Temple University, Gwyneed-Mercy College and DeVry University. It also houses the corporate headquarters of Johnson & Johnson division McNeil consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals, marketers of Tylenol and Motrin IB products.

After the work day, the Willow Grove Park Mall is the place to shop and relax. The Victorian-Carnival themed plaza is home to more then 130 shops including such name-stays as Abercrombie, Macy’s, Banana Republic, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Cache, Coach, Gap, J. Crew, Bloomingdale’s, and Sears. Curb your shopping bags at a table at the reknowned Cheesecake Factory, with every guilty pleasure from their Famous Factory Meatloaf to their White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake.

For a bite closer to the city center, the Upper Dublin Township has George's Dreshertown Shop n' Bag, a not-your-average super market, with an amazing variety of organic and delicious food. If you’re in the mood for the Pizza in town, Mama’s Pizza lV serves a satisfied crowd every day.

The younger residents of the Upper Dublin Township are privy to an astounding school system including four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school, which are fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The professional staff has an average of 16 years teaching experience and approximately 85 percent hold advanced degrees. The township is very focused on lower education and their goal is to “empower all students to be life-long learners and contributing members of a rapidly changing world.” The Township is also home to a number of private schools and Temple University Ambler and For Washington campuses, DeVry University Fort Washington campus and Gwynedd Mercy College Fort Washington campus.
